A popular Japanese grocery store will debut a huge new location at an East Bay mall next year.

Tokyo Central will open at Bay Street Emeryville, marking the chain’s first store in the East Bay and second in the Bay Area, according to a press release. It’s taking over a brand-new 40,635-square-foot building as the shopping center’s anchor grocery tenant.

Tokyo Central is known for its Japanese products, produce and prepared foods like sushi. The new Bay Street store will also house an “upscale,” full-service Japanese restaurant, according to the press release. More information about the restaurant wasn’t immediately available. Earlier this year, diners waited hours to eat at a new high-end conveyor belt sushi restaurant at one of Tokyo Central’s Los Angeles stores. The company also opened this month a hand roll sushi bar at an Orange County location.
