A Hindi word for the bodhi tree, Pippal Regional Indian—pronounced “people”—will come to Emeryville this fall as Bay Street Emeryville continues to expand its food options.
Pippal is an offshoot of Rooh (“spirit”), which has locations in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Columbus, and New Delhi. Pippal won’t be quite as fancy, with a fast-casual format, but like Rooh, plans to include dishes from all over India.
