Mexican Flores, Brazilian Fogo de Chão, Philz Coffee, Pippal Regional Indian and Saucy Asian All Open Their Doors This Month
Bay Street Emeryville, the East Bay’s renewed epicenter for shopping, eats and entertainment vibes, is excited to announce the opening of several new restaurants this month, further strengthening its reputation as the new culinary hotspot. Flores, Fogo de Chão, Philz Coffee, Pippal Regional Indian and Saucy Asian are all opening this month, with more restaurants expected to come early next year.
“We’re excited to elevate the dining selections at Bay Street Emeryville,” said Izamar Hook, General Manager, Bay Street Emeryville. “There are flavors from around the world — Brazil, India, Mexico, Korea, and your local favorite Bay Area caffeine fix — but it’s right in your backyard – no passport required!”
Flores, the Michelin Bib Gourmand Mexican restaurant that has captured the palates of San Francisco diners since 2016, has made its way to the East Bay for the first time. The restaurant brings to Bay Street Emeryville the vibrant flavors and rich culture of Mexico through a menu that showcases the incredible diversity of hyperlocal Mexican cuisine and signature cocktails. Next door, locals can enjoy Flores Taqueria, a new grab-and-go concept that offers street tacos, burritos, bowls and salads that are reminiscent of the Flores menu for a quick-service option.
Open now and across from the Nike Style store is Fogo de Chão, serving up high-quality churrasco. Fogo offers differentiated menus for all dayparts, including lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and group dining, plus full-service catering and contactless takeout and delivery options.
Next to Lush and across from Urban Outfitters will be a Bay Area favorite, Philz Coffee, specializing in customized coffee blends made from sustainably sourced green beans which are roasted locally in Oakland. Philz will be open early mornings to get your day started right.
Up on the Bay Break Dining Terrace and right beside Humphry Slocombe will be Pippal, a regional Indian restaurant from the founders of Michelin rated ROOH Progressive Indian. The fast casual restaurant will offer a changing menu of dishes from a variety of Indian regions served in a warm, inviting setting that’s perfect for lunch, dinner and snacks. Additionally, it features a full bar serving unique craft cocktails, wine and beer on tap to complement the dining experience.
Also on the Bay Break Dining Terrace and across from Sandbox VR will be Korean fusion spot Saucy Asian, with an ambience and artistic details that combine for a Seoul vibe. Diners can select from a wide variety of bowls, poke, burritos and tacos, all made from fresh ingredients. The dishes will include unique sauces and flavors, like kimchi-chipotle aioli, homemade gochujang sauce and Korean-style pickled jalapenos. Saucy Asian is the ideal lunch or dinner spot.
