Experience the Ancient Spice Journey: Two cultures joined by the trade journey of species from Asia to the Mediterranean
Pippal Regional Indian x Alora Coastal Mediterranean, presented by Rivaaz Hospitality Group.
For the month of June, Alora will merge with Pippal for a limited-time culinary residency, “The Ancient Spice Journey”. Taking inspiration from the Silk Route, which connected India and the Mediterranean through a network of land and sea routes that facilitated the exchange of spices and cultural elements, they aspire to bring Indian and Mediterranean flavors together in one shared dining experience. Guests will be able to order from a collaborative menu, moving between the two concepts throughout a single meal and experience distinct, yet complementary flavors of both restaurants.
The collaboration highlights the connection between the two restaurants through seasonality, coastal influence, and ingredient-driven cooking while showcasing the distinct culinary identities of each concept.
For those who have not yet experienced Alora, the residency offers an opportunity to explore the concept outside of San Francisco. Located on Pier 3, Alora draws inspiration from Greek, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisines with a menu centered around mezze, handmade pastas, sustainable seafood, dry-aged meats and grilled skewers prepared using traditional cooking techniques and seasonal California ingredients.
