Bay Street Emeryville Tree Lighting 2025: The Moment Merry Begins
Kick off The Moment Merry Begins at Bay Street Emeryville on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 3–9PM! In partnership with the City of Emeryville, this magical evening brings festive fun, local shopping, live music, and holiday cheer to every corner of Bay Street.
Event Schedule:
3:00–8:00 PM | Holiday Pop & Shop
Stroll through our expanded Holiday Pop & Shop from Ohlone Way to Christie Avenue, featuring handcrafted gifts, festive treats, and treasures from local makers. Hot chocolate and treat stations add a cozy touch along the way.
4:30 PM | City Hall Tree Lighting & Parade
Join the City of Emeryville at City Hall for their annual tree lighting ceremony, then hop into the car-free parade through downtown Emeryville, marching together toward Bay Street for the evening’s festivities.
5:00 PM | Emeryville High School Band Performance
Kick off the Bay Street Plaza entertainment with live holiday music from the Emeryville High School Band.
6:30 PM | Bay Street Tree Lighting
Behold the grand Bay Street tree as it lights up the plaza in a spectacular holiday display, kicking off the evening with magic and cheer
After Tree Lighting, groove to the festive sounds of Santa Solas and his band, the Jingle Funk All Stars, bringing merry tunes to the plaza.
7:00 PM — Oakland Youth Chorus Performance
Enjoy the soaring holiday harmonies of the Oakland Youth Chorus, spreading seasonal cheer and Hope in Harmony throughout Bay Street.
