Emeryville’s Bay Street Plaza is set to get even better with the opening of a new location for the popular Japanese grocery store brand Tokyo Central.
Tokyo Central will be opening a new 40,000 square-foot location at Bay Street Plaze, the company announced in a press release. This will be the chain’s second Bay Area location and the first in the East Bay. Their other location is in Cupertino.
Tokyo Central specializes in imported Japanese foods, snacks, and cosmetics. Like other grocery stores, there’s the ability to grab readymade food or pick up a beverage. For patrons of Tokyo Central’s Los Angeles stores, they’ll be familiar with the stellar sushi that’s available. It’s likely this will also become a fixture of the Emeryville location.
