Learn the beautiful art of Chinese calligraphy and get hands-on experience with locally renowned calligraphy artist Jojo Liu.
We are excited to welcome Cal VSA Lion Dance, UC Berkeley’s one and only Lion Dance team to share this tradition with the community, bringing good luck and prosperity to all with electric and exciting Lion and Dragon dance performances.
We are thrilled to welcome another UC Berkeley club, Calwushu, the official wushu club at UC Berkeley and the oldest collegiate wushu club in the nation. Wushu literally means “martial art” in Chinese. It encompasses all Chinese martial arts, although it commonly refers to contemporary styles.
Rounding out our incredible performances is Fei Tian Dancers (FTD), a community of UC Berkeley students passionate about dance and dedicated to presenting Chinese culture to the Bay Area. Fei Tian Dancers will bring us a beautiful selection of performances to get us into the spirit of Year of the Snake.
